Yaser Safi, Abdul Razzak Shaballot, Abdul Karim Majdal Al-Beik, Boshra Mustafa, Sulafa Hijazi, Iman Hasbani
Opening: Friday, 07.03.2025, 6 – 10 pm
Duration: 07.03. – 16.03.2025
Invited by Tobias Sternberg
The exhibition was initiated by Tobias Sternberg in response to the shifting political climate following December 8th, the day the dictatorial and tyrannical Syrian regime fell. In moments charged with emotional intensity and against the backdrop of exclusionary policies in Europe.
Curated by Abdul Razzak Shaballot, Intersections highlights the fluidity of artistic journeys and the ways in which different creative paths intersect, influence, and transform one another.
The exhibition brings together six Syrian artists, whose diverse practices extend to painting, sculpture, etching, performance, and digital media. While each artist follows a distinct trajectory, their paths have intersected in Berlin at this moment in time, forming a space where different artistic experiments meet.
The exhibition features works by Yaser Safi, Abdul Razzak Shaballot, Abdul Karim Majdal Al-Beik, Boshra Mustafa, Sulafa Hijazi, and Iman Hasbani with a collaborative work with Per Jörgen Erkius.
